Lion Wins WECA Apprentice of the Year

“Larry’s attitude is great. He is very respectful of others, and takes ownership of the work, truly caring about the goals of the crew.” -Alberto A., Superintendent

All are words spoken about apprentice Larry T. Jr. who has recently been awarded with the Apprentice of the Year Award through the Western Electrical Contractors Association (WECA) at the 60th annual David G. Hollis Outstanding Apprentice Awards Ceremony.

We are very proud to see the accelerated growth of Larry and what he has accomplished all around, ranging from the high quality of his work to being a teammate who is always reliable, caring both on and off-site..  Larry has been a loyal member of the PRIDE since 2019 and just graduated in the 2022 WECA class with the company.

WECA was brought to Arizona through Corbins in 2021 as an investment in the leadership within the company.  We are immensely excited to see the impact the program is bringing to our Lions and the vast number of life changing opportunities that they are receiving. We strongly encourage those interested in beginning their journey in the industry to explore all the benefits in joining WECA.

It is evident how dedicated a teammate Larry is when he talks about working with his crew. He explains that one of his biggest lessons learned is to plan your work, communicate with others on the process, and make sure everyone understands and asks questions.  He truly encapsulates the essence of a Corbins’ Lion, demonstrating the commitment to individual and team development,  and the success one will harvest while working relentlessly to boldly change the construction industry.
