Alex didn’t start as a Project Manager; in fact, like many in the trades, he started with minimal experience. He began his academic path in Iowa, earning a degree in Physics and Math, which gave him a strong foundation in analytical thinking and problem-solving. When he moved to Arizona, Alex pursued Mechanical Engineering Systems at Arizona State University, equipping him with technical knowledge.

He began as a Field Engineer with Corbins. Through other diverse roles like Project Engineer and responsibilities with estimating, and QA/QC, Alex learned what it takes to lead, communicate effectively, and drive projects forward in the fast-paced world of industrial construction. He quickly realized that attention to detail is critical, from reviewing plans and schedules to coordinating teams and troubleshooting issues on-site. Alex’s ability to combine precise technical understanding with practical execution is what allows him to successfully manage high-stakes projects.

His experience highlights two things that matter most in construction careers: continuous learning and opportunity. By staying open to growth and embracing new challenges, Alex was able to build a career that aligns with both his professional goals and his values as a leader.
